"Swimming In The Dark"
By: Tomasz Jedrowski

Author Tomasz Jedrowski takes readers back in time to the 80s, introducing us to a tantalizing protagonist living in Poland during a massive political divide. Themes of identity, love, and the polarization of political affairs are explored making this read a relevant one in time for Valentine’s Day.

Monthly Food Pick:

Holy Basil DTLA

Holy Basil elevates Thai food by taking comfort and innovation to new heights. Thai food is a staple of Los Angeles culture, with the city most notably having the only Thai Town in the nation; it’s my pleasure to highlight one of my favorite establishments. From the range of delicate and spicy flavors, there’s enough variety for all levels of foodies.

  • The Rigatoni Yellow Curry with Wagyu Beef ($20) is a major highlight. Serving as a balanced meal that fulfilled my love for curry and pasta.
  • The Green Curry Jidori Chicken ($16.50) was a spice lover’s dream, it’s a bowl that kicks the soul literally, but one I’d endure again.
